The Prep Room
We are processing while being equipped in the prep room. On the outside, people get to see the polished version of us — the smile, the confidence, the glow. What they don’t see is the dirt we had to go through to look so clean. They don’t see the tears, the pruning, the stretching, the surrender. Preparation isn’t glamorous. And truthfully? It’s not always easy, but it’s not always hard either. It just is. It’s necessary. It’s part of God’s assignment. In our preparation season, we have to allow the work to be done on us. It’s like walking into a hair salon or barbershop. We already know what we signed up for. We sit in the chair. We trust the process. We allow the stylist or barber to take their time — washing, cutting, shaping, detailing — because they want us to leave looking finished, not halfway done. They’re patient. They’re detailed. They care about the final result. It’s the same with God. He’s not rushing your transformation. He’s not doing a halfway job. He’s intentional with every trim, every wash, every adjustment. He wants His children well cared for, strengthened, and ready to stand in the race with confidence. Preparation isn’t punishment. It’s positioning. It’s not delay. It’s development. And it’s never rushed — because what God is building is meant to last. So while you’re in the prep room, don’t fight the chair. Allow the work. Trust the hands. And know that when you step out, you won’t just look different — you’ll be ready.
